The St. Johns community has long been pushing for the repair of Columbia Pool. Portland Parks and Recreation (PP&R) built a new aquatic center in North Portland instead of addressing the Columbia Pool issue, prompting the St. Johns Review to investigate the funding decision. They reached out to PP&R and city commissioner Dan Ryan for more information.
On June 27th, Wayne Petersen, owner of St. Johns Marine, urgently reached out to us for assistance. An out-of-state investor is planning a massive development project in the neighborhood, and the conditions set by the investor have raised monumentally serious concerns that demand immediate attention.
