URGENT URGENT URGENT COLD WEATHER: THE GIFT OF CARING! North Portland Cares! and PEOPLE MATTER MOST!!!

Friends,

We are in the midst of  several  cold days and we all know that there are going to be a lot of people and animals that are going to need our attention!!

Check on those in our neighborhood even if we don’t know them!!    And particularly the most vulnerable among us!

Resources:  call 2-1-1- for information about severe weather shelters.  You can also view online: http://211info.org

Portland Police Bureau may be available to transport people to warming shelters.  Call Non-Emergency at 503-823-3333

Multnomah County is also a hub for weather-related information, with general advisories being posted at https://multco.us/  and also information specific to winter weather.

The Portland Bureau of Transportation also has a page dedicated to winter weather, which shares road closures and plowing information.

Can we create ways of coordinating our efforts???

Ask, “What can I do?”   “What can we do?”    There are a lot of resources out there and a lots of collective wisdom!!   Please email to me any thoughts and ideas that you have and I will share!!

What am I missing?  What Tip do you have that we should know about?

Thanks for anything you can do because we as a community know that North Portland Cares! And that PEOPLE MATTER MOST!!
