Travel Portland is offering grants totaling $140,000 to support projects that enhance the visitor experience in Portland. The 2024 grant cycle, scheduled to open in January, presents opportunities for interested parties. Guidelines for the application process have been available online since Dec. 14, 2023.
To apply, individuals or organizations must complete an eligibility quiz and submit the application form by Feb. 12, 2024. An informational session on Jan. 10, 2024, is designed to help applicants understand the process. Grant recipients will be notified of their application status by March 31, 2024.
The application process allows for a secure login system, enabling applicants to save and return to their submissions until the deadline. The grant selection panel, composed of Travel Portland staff, will evaluate projects based on outlined criteria. Notably, funds awarded cannot be used for staff salaries or expanding staff capacity during this funding cycle.
Previous awardees remain eligible for the upcoming cycle, and organizations have the option to submit multiple applications. However, only one grant project per organization will be awarded per cycle. For any inquiries or clarifications, interested parties can contact grants@travelportland.com.
