St. Johns Bridge to Close for Nightly Inspection Work: 5 Nights from Feb. 5

The St. Johns Bridge will be closed for five nights starting at 10 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 5, for biennial bridge inspections and routine maintenance by the Oregon Department of Transportation. The closure, lasting until early Saturday, Feb. 10, will affect most users, including pedestrians and bicyclists. Detours are suggested for both the bridge’s east and west sides. Emergency vehicles and the last two scheduled #16 TriMet buses each night will be permitted during the closure. The work is weather-dependent, but no major storms are forecasted during the scheduled bridge inspections.
